Cold doesn’t stop everyone…

Ok, it’s really cold. I wanted to express my respect and good wishes to everyone who braved the cold on their bicycles today… most particularly, my Brazilian wife! Very impressive!
The walk from my bedroom to my office was far less harrowing. I did have to walk to the mailbox to send in my estimated tax payments though – Due today, don’t forget all you self-employed people out there!
My face froze off and it was a relatively toasty 6 degrees here.
You were even colder than we were. We hit -8 overnight. We do have about 16″ of snow on the ground, it is an accumulation of the last eight days but it hasn’t had the opportunity to melt, too cold.
Thanks, David!
Well… I was brave (or naive?) but half way I realized that if I stopped moving my hands they would ache inside my gloves… That’s when I started suspecting it was colder than what I thought. I just got really scared when people at the office where horrified by my choice, and made me feel that I was really from another planet… (btw, after all the talk, I lost my “courage” and I got a ride back home…)
