Oh, and I just checked the webpage of the company which made the keyboard I was trying (Touchstream). Evidentally other people agreed... the company is now out of business.

Urm, ya. Human interfaces to computers are all crazy. I end up using the touchpad on my laptop constantly. I also have the nipple that I will sometimes use... I'm glad that the version I have gives me the option to turn off one or othe other, but after years, I've gotten used to it.

My problem with the trackball is that it makes my thumb tired, which sounds silly - but with the amount of "mousing" I do it gets annoying. Maybe I just need to build up thumb stamina or something, IDK.

I did use for awhile this awesome keyboard by Touch Stream where basically the entire keyboard is a very smart touchpad, with all sorts of special movments that open up features. The abaility to move and resize a window with a few finger movements was astoundingly cool. Unfortunatly, even after trying the keyboard out for a month, I still was at only 50% typing speed with a very high error rate. Even with the cool features, it was unusable.

We talked about that in our marketing class as an important concept... it dosn't matter how many bells and whistles you've got - if you can't deliver on the basic functionality (typing in text in a manner close to a normal keyboard) the product will simply not fly...

You bought a suit!!! Great! What's it look like? Did you get it from the same place as your last suit? How long to get it fitted?

Oh and btw - the best mice are optical mice! :)
